No Isn't An Option!

Hey you’ll, I hope that you are doing well. Well the true political intentions of the Democratic Party along with those of President Obama have surfaced. It’s quite clear their willingness to use the 51 vote option to pass Obama Care. Isn’t it funny how opinions change when desperation sets in, and isn’t it sad to witness the use of political intimidation to force those in Congress to shove another undesired piece of legislation down the throat of every American?
President Obama in the past blasted Republicans for utilizing the so called nuclear option when Democrats refused to participate in the confirmation hearings of judges that President George W. Bush had nominated. These judges were qualified in every conceivable aspect, yet Democrats blocked these hearings for months. When Republicans used 51 votes to overcome this block Senators such as Barack Obama called this approach “arrogant and power grabbing.” Hmm, how time changes. Now that Obama Care has lost the support of the American people, the support of moderate to Conservative Democrats, and even some Liberal Democrats fearing back lash in November. This chain reaction has resulted in President Obama to ask his Party members to use the nuclear option. Wait, certainly the President wouldn’t want his Party to appear arrogant and power grabbing though?
The leaders of the Democratic Party have realized that every measure of intimidation must be enforced against those who oppose this overhaul. For instance, an investigation was initiated by the House Ethics Committee for “inappropriate comments” made by Rep. Eric Massa to a member of his staff. This all happened after Massa informed Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s Chief of Staff, that he wouldn’t vote for Obama Care. Massa on a radio interview discussed the harsh relentless techniques used by the Obama administration so as to persuade him to change his vote. He described a series of encounters with Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s Chief of Staff that took place inside of the shower area of the House gym. He also described a phone call in which Emanuel used foul language to reprimand Massa. A characteristic often attributed to Emanuel.
For a softer approach Rep. Jim Matheson of Utah voted against Obama Care the first time around, but by some miracle more like political bribery President Obama nominated his brother Scott as a federal judge. Rep. Matheson has now altered his emphatic no to a maybe. I thought President Obama had insisted that no more back room deals were going to take place in Washington.
When will Washington learn to do what’s best for Americans? When will they listen to those who put them in power? Every poll shows an overwhelming opposition to this bill. In fact, CNN reported a couple weeks ago that only 25% of Americans still favor the current bill. Why must a President impose its will on his constituents. He isn’t supposed to act like a dictator. He continues to emphasize that the political future of all politicians aren’t important as long as Obama Care gets passed. A true sign of total desperation.
It’s my firm belief that all American’s must stand up to any politician or politicians who decide to impose their will on all of us. We live in a Democracy not a radical extremist state. Anyone who can vote should make an effort to get involved in the political process now not in November. Letters need to be sent, calls need to be made, and emails need to be sent to the 535 members of Congress. They need to know that Americans aren’t sheep’s who will follow the commands of the political shepherds that will lead this country off of the precipice. It would be catastrophic to surrender the freedom to manage our own health to the tentacles of the federal government. The Constitution doesn’t allow for such a tyrannical empowerment of the federal government, and as a nation neither should we allow it to happen.

How many no's can the Democrats ignore?

Hey you’ll, I have returned. I have been away for a few months while I focused on my school work. I couldn’t remain quiet though throughout this battle over the passing of Obama Care. I wonder how many no’s from the American people can the Democrats ignore?
The idea behind the healthcare reform bill has validity. No one should be without insurance, but allowing the government to regulate and control the healthcare industry will result in 250 million uninsured people not the exaggerated number of 24 million people often referred to by pundits. It’s important to keep in mind that a large percentage of those currently uninsured are people who have chosen to not look for a job, to accept welfare checks every month, and to get by on sympathy from others. I know that not everyone who doesn’t have insurance falls into this category, but if you subtract this percentage from the numbers given out, then you start to wonder the obvious question. Does the government need to reconstruct as well as manipulate an industry affecting everyone to help a small percentage of people? The answer is no!
Also, the platform used by Democrats that helped get Barack Obama elected along with other Democrats into Congress the previous year was a promise to help the average Joe. They promised to do away with excessive spending brought on by a bunch of greedy Republicans led by former President Bush. Hmm, I guess they had too much wine when they celebrated since they forgot their pledge. I won’t mention the laundry list of wasteful expenditures that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed have burdened the tax payers with. The latest 2.1 trillion dollar budget should help illustrate this point. Oh, they don’t want you to consider their trip aboard five private jets along with rides aboard fancy limos while they mingle with the environmental wackos in Copenhagen. Those luxurious planes and vehicles are coming out of tax payers’ pockets. I guess they are sacrificing their holiday time trying to find a way to save the planet from the extreme heat as they wear snow boots to the meetings with hacks such as Al Gore.
Ok, enough with my rants. What evidence can be used to demonstrate that the current healthcare proposal will only hinder not help the American people? The Democratic Party that has bickered about the problems with Medicare and Medicaid have been unable to create a bill even though they have a super majority in the Senate, have a majority in the House, and they are in control of the White House. They still can’t agree on a bill since they know that if they pass such a bill their time in Washington will officially end. Yesterday the Washington Post and NBC published a poll on how Americans feel about the current healthcare bill. These two news outlets aren’t exactly known for siding with Conservatives either. The poll shows that 61% of Americans opposed such a takeover. Wait, I thought that Americans were demanding a change in healthcare though. The last proof that can’t be ignored is President Obama’s approval rating. If Barack Obama really reflected what the American people believed in. If President Obama actions showed that he planned to do whatever it took to improve the lives of all Americans, and if he ever displayed any sign that his actions were based upon the principles that this country was founded on his rating wouldn’t have dropped so drastically. The President can’t make everything happen that’s understood, but the President can make a big difference when his party holds a majority in the legislative branch. His approval rating has dropped from 57% to 44% according to the latest Rasmussen poll. A clear indication that the American people disapprove on issues such as these healthcare bill.
If poll data, voter’s consensus, nor parliamentarian’s regulation longer matter to the Liberal and Moderate Democrats. If these principles are ignored in a representative democracy, then the nation changes from a democracy to a utilitarian dictatorship. The government will act based on what they believe is the greatest good for the greatest number of people even if they know that their hurting more people than they are helping. Please keep telling your Senator to vote no on this measure. Please keep emailing and calling Senator Ben Nelson from Nebraska. Keep in mind that it only takes one Democrats to fall through the cracks to accomplish defeating another government imposing bill. How many different ways can a voter say no before politicians in Congress will listen?
