Hello everyone, the stories from all over the world in the last week have been captivating especially those surfacing from Japan several days removed from the devastating earthquake and tsunami. The damage sustained by two nuclear power plants in the area has proven deadly. In the Middle East, Saudi Arabia has deployed troops into Bahrain to help that monarchy suppress any protest that could get out of hand. Also, in North Africa Allied forces after the ratification of several UN Resolutions are now helping rebel forces take out Gaddafi’s army of thugs. Despite this excess of events happening throughout the world, it’s necessary to address a crucial domestic issue. This issue is the budget crisis. America is known for its generous heart we are willing to help anyone who encounters a crisis like the one that the Japanese are facing right now, but if immediate drastic measures aren’t taken by the time that the budget crisis gets resolve we are going to be the ones needing assistance from others.
Often intense negotiation sessions are compared to a match of chess. The style of negotiations so far used by Congress regarding the national debt along with the current budget crisis resembles a game of monopoly more than a chess match. Congress already has implemented six temporary continuing resolutions in an attempt to resolve the current federal government’s budget crisis this year. Democrats claim that this matter should be resolved without resorting to more continuing resolutions, but are only willing to reduce the current budget by 6 billion dollars. They aren’t willing to reduce funding for entitlement programs that are responsible for a large portion of the current deficit. They aren’t willing to reduce federal funds for pork barrel or environmental projects either. Some Democratic leaders have proposed a cut in funds appropriated to the defense department and the Pentagon though. According to this logic it’s more important to name a train station after Vice President Biden than it is to help keep America safe.
Let’s expand upon the monopoly analogy though. Liberals are those monopoly players that every time they land on chance, or community chest, or when they pass go they decide to spend every single dollar they get their hands on. They choose to invest in properties that won’t net them much money. They are the players that are broke most of the time so they are hoping to land on free parking before landing on Boardwalk or Park Place. In other words, Liberals aren’t willing to approve a budget resolution that makes legitimate cost cutting measures as well as the cuts they are willing to sacrifice don’t make much of a difference. They seem satisfied with maintaining a budget that has already resulted in catastrophic financial consequences. This attitude has proven disastrous for the American economy through the various financially reckless measures proposed by the Obama administration in the last 2 years.
Republicans have attempted to approach the budget crisis aggressively this time. They have proposed several resolutions that could cut as much as $61 billion from the existing budget. This would make a small dent that could help make federal spending no longer an issue as opposed to a large part of the problem. The problem among GOP leaders exists in the willingness of some to commit themselves to resolutions that aren’t fiscally responsible. This often occurs when certain members of Congress like Senator Olympia Snow choose to vote for anything that might get them more attention as opposed to voting for what’s best for the country. Other more Conservative representatives such as Paul Ryan of Wisconsin are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that America has a bright future by diminishing the size of the federal government.
The Snow like representatives are the monopoly players that will from time to time make some reasonable moves with the properties they acquire, but for the most part they will go along with whatever the other players tell them to do. They trust that the dice will roll favorably for them. In the other hand, legitimate Conservative members of Congress are the type of monopoly players that will only invest in properties that are going to pay immediate dividend as well as in the future. They are willing to sell off those properties that they can’t afford, and then they will make sure that any money they get from places like free parking is saved in order to help eliminate any existing debt.
The United States federal government has grown exorbitantly for way too long. Congress needs to address the budget crisis with a resolution that will shrink the federal government, and that will finally allow the free market to resuscitate the economy as opposed to putting it on life support with more government controlled programs. Conservative leaders of both chambers need to ensure that legitimate changes are made: otherwise, the future won’t be any different than the present. In fact, if the bullying tactics of Harry Reed and Chuck Schumer succeed Americans in the future won’t be able to pass go to collect our retirement checks, instead it will be a bill to keep paying China more money each year.

Somewhere Over A Barrel.
Hello everyone, by now I’m certain that everyone has seen the violent scenes emanating from different regions in the Middle East and North Africa. President Obama as usual has opted to condemn the violent acts a few casualties too late, and has chosen to avoid directly addressing heads of state carrying out these heinous acts such as Muammar Qaddafi in Libya. This isn’t unusual since he developed cases of name amnesia with Hosni Mubarak, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and others in the past. The current administration inability to effectively deal with foreign policy crisis causes our closest allies to wonder about our intentions as well as further damages the already fragile economy.
Despite the bloodshed and economic consequences the current administration still wants to approach the crisis diplomatically. Diplomatic tactics are no longer an option when doctors are prevented from treating individuals that the government shot. Diplomacy isn’t a valid option when everyone regardless of their age, gender, or career paths becomes a target for the rogue government forces. A murderous dictator who doesn’t think twice about slaughtering his own people isn’t going to care too much if Secretary of State Clinton or President Obama tells them to go to time out for being naughty.
Barack Obama has struck out every single time he has had to step up to the plate when it comes to dealing with any foreign policy conflict. He has demonstrated that he lacks the political fortitude to stand up with those who desire a government of their own that uses the same democratic principles upon which America was founded on, or the leadership to condemn governments who turn on their people as well as any new government that decide to align themselves with political organizations who relish our own demise along with that of our closest allies. He couldn’t even use that teleprompter of his to scare the living daylights out of those thugs off the Somali coast who continue to terrorize and kill innocent lives.
Also, the same political cowardice that has prevented him from walking tall and carrying a big stick has caused America to still be at the mercy of the above mentioned regimes that are prominent players in the cartel formerly known as OPEC. The United States has enough oil of its own in places such as the continental shelf and ANWAR to diminish this dependency. Also, the economy would get quite a boost from those individuals working on off shore rigs if the moratorium were to be lifted. Instead, President Obama has chosen to talk about green energy as an asset right now. Tax payer money funds green energy projects, while the price at the pump continues to rise since we have to hope and pray that the Saudi’s keep waking up on the right side of the bed each morning so that oil doesn’t stop flowing.
Unfortunately, Liberals often choose to play nice for the fear of coming off as too stern. It’s time that Barack Obama learns that America’s future is more important than what any manipulative oil rich Arab leader thinks about the United States. It’s about time that he understands that the price of oil is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to commodities prices escalating. The administrations current foreign policy approach and President Obama’s political cowardice has America’s future precariously sitting somewhere over a barrel.

Americans United Against The Unions.
Hello everyone, the news has quickly shifted from violent and chaotic scenes in the Middle East and North Africa to our own back yard. Once again, liberals are utilizing their ability to really sell a sob story for one of their favorite targets, children. I do hope no one decides to misinterpret my use of the word target.
Democrats often defend irrational political vitriol by posing the question, but what about Granny and little Bobby. So far, the most powerful political group representing the elderly sold out its own members when it supported Obama Care, and now a union is choosing to take action complaining about several state legislatures with the support of its constituents to make several fiscally responsible measures to address large debts. Several reports indicate that over 1200 teachers in Wisconsin have not shown up to work with the support of union clowns like Jesse Jackson in protest to several measures proposed by governor walker. I thought that they cared so much about little Bobby that nothing would stop him from becoming better educated than little boys and girls in China though.
Let’s clarify an erroneous misconception now emanating from most pundits microphones. I as a Conservative still believe that teachers are a vital pillar of society in America today. Teachers are incredibly important in honing kid’s minds by helping them master numerous tasks as well as honing various skills essential in the development of a child’s mind. When they choose to actually teach subjects such as math, science, and history as opposed to regurgitating from a pamphlet written by a union thug they can unlock the potential of every single pupil inside of their classroom. Finally, teachers should have the opportunity to be rewarded for their hard work within reason.
The first step in this process will be to tell the NEA to go jump into The Potomac. This union has swindled tax payers long enough by manipulating teacher’s salaries that doesn’t reflect the quality of education that some children receive in public schools. Most often the highest paid teachers are found in the least successful school districts. Also, even though teachers are essential sometimes everyone has to sacrifice especially when the economy is struggling. Why not instead of demanding for new multimillion dollar schools focus that money on improving the schools that already exist. Why not exercise some fiscal sanity by cutting the salaries of some school officials to ensure that other teachers who do their jobs aren’t fired due to lack of funds.
Unions once represented the solidarity of certain industries to prevent the government from bullying their members. Recently, Unions across the country as in those in Wisconsin have emphatically emphasized their willingness to advance their cause no matter who stands in the way. Those in Wisconsin and other surrounding states are willing to sacrifice the future of those children they so vigorously pretended to defend against evil fiscally caring Conservatives as well as ignore any attempt to make financial maneuvers to eliminate debts for the sole purpose of maintaining their political allegiances.
Those teachers in Wisconsin who chose to not show up to school to side with the Unions best exemplify why the membership to certain Union’s should be optional. Also, they show the extent of the powers of Unions in the United States today. Just like a House can’t stand when it is divided, nor can any industry. Union bosses should remember though that the will of the American people can topple any bureaucratic force that stands in their way. James.

Red Alert.
Hello everyone, no doubt that by now everyone has heard about the tragic incident that took place in Tucson, Arizona on Saturday morning. I will not attempt to depict the events that led up to the massacre, nor will I describe what happened during the shooting. I think it’s necessary to address an untold tragedy though that has resulted from the actions perpetrated by a mentally disturbed individual this past weekend.
Often incomprehensible events cause’s people to react in a way that is natural and realistic contrary to how public officials most often behave when the cameras are on. In contrast, most Americans expressed their sorrow and anger at the devastation left at the site of the shooting. Several precious lives were lost, and the coverage was overwhelming. The true tragedy is the lost of innocent life, the debilitating injuries sustained by individuals like Representative Gifford’s, but it has now become the empowerment of a group of elitist who are quite satisfied to disregard the sanctity of human lives. the willingness of a collection of insensitive bureaucrats who instead of leading a shocked nation have chosen to reaffirm their positions in society through their new suggestions of expanding the government even further as well as their willingness to oppress free speech. Their diminishing political existence has caused them to encourage the ceasing of discourse on the same laws that failed to prevent this heinous affair from taking place.
So far the reaction by most of the prominent figures of the Democratic Party has been to blame anyone who spoke out against the gargantuan flawed piece of legislation known as Obama care. Anyone who dares to ensue in a civil debate to protest the perpetual overreach of the federal government into the life of every American has now gotten labeled as instigators by the left. Anyone who doesn’t agrees with the radically socialist blue print utilized by liberal’s apparently are responsible for encouraging people like Jared Lee Loughner to enact violent acts this according to the Sheriff leading the investigation.
The true tragedy has once again become the lack of leadership shown by a government who prefers to engage in politically correct games instead of protecting its citizens. Its main actors deny the existence of any flaw in the current system that allowed a mentally disturbed individual to acquire a fire arm have chosen to trample upon our right to bare arms as a reasonable precaution instead. They claim that the creation of sensor laws will make it difficult for people to become agitated by rhetoric, but neglected to mention that it will also prevent anyone from telling them to get their heads out of the sand.
Let’s honor those who died on Saturday by standing up to those who try to force their way of thinking upon us. Let’s reassure those who were injured by making certain that law enforcement officers get to do their job before another tragedy takes place. Let’s comfort all of their families by letting them grieve on all of our shoulders. Let’s all move forward from this horrific event by doing what Rep. Gifford meetting with her constituents symbolizes, and that is fighting for the American way.

No More American Pie.
No More American Pie.
By James Blaise.
Hello yall, it’s time to once again write about the important topics that will impact America and the American people in 2011. Let’s focus on the latest topic to get rehashed by pundits, bloggers, and some talk show hosts through meaningless chatter. I’m referring to the newly comprised United States Congress.
The shift of power in Congress from the suffocating tentacles of the Liberal Democrats to that of a revitalized Conservative Republican Party represents more than just another symbolic swing of the political pendulum between the two major political entities in the United States. The American voters chose to elect a group of representatives that more closely resembled their core values. A group of individuals who value the principles upon which this nation was founded on. Representatives who realize that the expense account that funds all of Uncle Sam’s projects should not exceed the available revenue coming into the coffers. Elected officials who acknowledge that free enterprise should once again become the predominant fiscal philosophy as opposed to Keynesian economics. Finally, a class of men and women who pledged to hand back America to the American people.
Speaker John A. Boehner now has the responsibility to lead the Republican Party in the House of Representatives by making sure that over spending doesn’t take place. He needs to make sure that regardless of how tempting political expediency may become he is representing the interests of the people in the people’s house not the house of the bureaucracy. He along with his colleagues in the House along with those in the Senate need to start replacing Sunday talk shows, tonight shows, and cable channel news programs with their chambers as the places where fiscal sanity gets restored.
Representative Darrell Issa of California said it best though in his appearance on Face the Nation this past Sunday. Congress has a duty to regain the trust of the American people. They can’t continue to fill legitimate pieces of legislation with pork barrel projects. They can’t pat the backs of those brave men and women who wear the uniform with rhetoric, and then use their votes to deplete them of the resources they need in the battle field. They can’t continue to pretend that an old alliance dating back to World War II will help keep America safe, and then ratify a treaty preventing the development or use of defense systems in case a radical regime decides to get an itchy trigger finger. Finally, the new administration must show that their agenda abides by the Constitution of the United States a document that was trampled on like the grass in the African jungle after the Great Migration by Pelosi and her cohorts. Also, Congress must attempt to find answers to pressing issues instead of creating pieces of legislation just to prove a point like President Obama has done in the last 2 years.
The analogy is often used in comparing the national debt to a pie. Well, the pie has grown from a McDonald’s apple pie to a three story wedding cake. An unacceptable growth that will lead to the demise of this great nation as well as put a communist friendly government like China as the number one super power in the world. We’ve all seen incoming Speaker Boehner yell and cry, but how good is he with a carving knife?
